The business of NextGenTel was founded on March 1, 2000. Four of the founders had previously held management, technical and financial positions with a network management provider to the worldwide telecom industry, and two of the founders had broad domestic and international sales and marketing experience from various companies and industries.

The two first groups have been active investors with representation on NextGenTel's Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors of NextGenTel aims to be fully independent of the Company administration. At the same time, the Board of Directors acknowledges that a thorough knowledge of the Company and the market is a prerequisite for proper management of the board. All board members elected by shareholders in NextGenTel are now external. The Board of Directors bases its work on the principals of impartiality and responsibility towards all shareholders. This entails providing identical and simultaneous information to all shareholders and the market.
